Newsletter--a hard copy of the September E-news developed by Christine Ferens and Dean Cole was reviewed. Good job Chris and Dean! All attending agreed the announcement for the workshop should be removed until minutes from last year regarding advertising can be reviewed.

Webpage--new website at http://miamivalleycounselingassociation.org was reviewed via attending Blackberry. Looks nice. Christine will report more at next meeting.

Scholarships--It was moved (by Lisa), seconded (by Phyllis) that we return to the practice of offering one $1000 amount alternating between WSU and UD. The motion carried after a brief discussion.

Off The Clock--Last year’s response was disappointing prompting the question; “Does it work?” There was discussion about why members do not participate. Busy schedules was the consensus. No motions were made.

Suggestions from 8/27 coffee meeting--focused on how to get more members involved. All agreed that encouraging student participation is a good idea. No motions were made but all agreed that giving presentations to WSU and UD is a good place to start. Linda reported that Dr Demitt requested a written proposal. Phyllis and Eileen will report opportunities at WSU.

Leadership training--Donna proposed sending president and president elect to training in October. Diane will research cost and report next meeting.

Donna commended SCI for creativity developing revenue sources in response to budget cuts by the State.
